Description
Chalcedony is a cryptocrystalline form of the mineral quartz that precipitates from solution to fill cavities and cracks in rocks. This mineral is often banded and can form in a variety of colors. Like quartz, chalcedony has a moderate to high hardness, glassy luster, and a white streak.
An information card with details on the mineral formation, characteristics, and uses is included. Typical samples sizes are generally 1-2 inches in length or width but can vary based on availability and natural crystal shape.
