Metamorphic Rocks
Metamorphic Rocks are rocks that used to be either sedimentary or igneous rocks. Through varying amounts of heat and pressure, these rocks were transformed into another rock known as a metamorphic. Mini Me Geology has a great selection of metamorphic rock samples which show the change from one rock type (the parent rock) to another. Each metamorphic rock sample is individually packaged and comes with an information card to tell you about your new rock sample. Please note that we always try to have the largest samples possible, but are at times limited by the mines. Typical samples sizes are generally 1-2 inches in length or width but can vary based in availability and natural formation.
