Description
TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK
Typically composed of the copper ore bornite, peacock ore gets its name from the colorful iridescent sheen due to the tarnish on the surface. Bornite is a soft mineral with a metallic luster and a gray to black streak. Peacock ore can also be the result of acid-treated chalcopyrite.
An information card with details on the mineral formation, characteristics, and uses is included. Typical sample sizes are generally 1-2 inches in length or width but can vary based on availability and natural crystal shape.
